Rite of the Velvet Dawn

A short, earnest rite. No gatekeeping. No guilt. Just joy, consent, and kindness.

The Short Rite

You’ll need: a quiet moment, a glass of water (holy hydration), bunny ears, and a jelly bean sacrement.

  1. Centering. Take three slow breaths. Sip the water. Picture a soft golden light above your head, edged with silver and partake of the jelly bean sacrement
  2. Invocation. Say: “By the Velvet Dawn and the Joy that spins within all things, I welcome Fluff, I choose kindness, and I honor consent.”
  3. Gesture. Place your hand over your heart and make a small twirl (literal or figurative). Let yourself smile.
  4. Vow. Say: “I pledge to practice joy, respect boundaries, and spread gentle absurdity wherever I go.”
  5. Seal. Trace a small bunny-cross over your heart (ears optional) and say: “May my spirit twirl freely. Halle-hop.”
